Head of Tennesseans for Immigration Control and Reform Rebukes Corker

If you listened to Bob Corker and his henchmen, you would think he was the second coming on Tom Tancredo when it comes to illegal immigration. (But we all know the truth; he hired illegal workers and broke the law)

Recently, the bloggers over at Blogging for Corker tried to mislead voters once again by touting Bob Corker as the candidate who will fight illegal immigration. However, it didn't take long for them to be set straight.

Donna Locke, who heads the Tennesseans for Immigration Control and Reform group said the following:

We know all the trick phrases. Don’t try to fool us. Amnesty is any adjustment of illegal status to legal status. By the way, how are you going to make tens of millions of illegal aliens leave and come back legally (thus gaining further reward for entering illegally in the first place and encouraging millions more to do the same)? If Corker knows how to do that and pay for all the administration, enforcement, background checks, and paper- and computer work involved, then what’s the problem with mass deportations? Illegal aliens will not leave voluntarily as long as the magnets/rewards and their American-born children are here. They will not take that chance; they and their handlers will continue to insist on legal status while they remain in place. They know the pattern. The U.S. has granted several amnesties since the big, supposedly final one in 1986.

Enough is enough. Only it’s just NEVER enough, is it? Millions have already been amnestied, and we have 20 million to 30 million illegal aliens in the country, with more arriving daily, and this is STILL not enough workers? When will it be enough? When we pop? Adjustment to legal status for millions of people means tens of millions more than that would be added to our population, as the amnestied people gain residency and citizenship and can legally import their families, who can eventually sponsor their families for immigration and on and on in an endless chain migration. Just as we have at present. Most of our population growth now is from legal chain migration and illegal immigration and the births that follow. Immigrants, not the United States government, are determining who will immigrate to our country, regardless of skills or benefit to our nation. This is not the purpose of our immigration policy as it was conceived.

Do you ever stop to think about what the United States will be like with a population of half a billion, as the Census Bureau projects for 2050 or 2060, based on current trends? Those are low- and midrange Census projections. You don’t want to know the highs. Your quality of life is going to take a serious hit well before 2050.

Corker can’t wait to get into the Senate and sell out American workers and the American young, as most of the current Senate is doing — I see the writing on the wall. I’m sorry. I would like to see Republicans retain control of Congress — and God knows I’m knocking myself out to help them gain control of the Tennessee Legislature — but I think I have Corker’s number, and I’m not buying what he’s selling. I agree with others that the Tennessee Republican honchos need a loud wake-up call. They have let their best and brightest down.

Please forgive me, Jay and Nathan. You are good people, and I understand your decisions.

So there you have it folks. A self described Republican who heads an anti-illegal immigration group calls Corker out for what he really is: a fraud who broke the law.

Don't be fooled by Corker's rhetoric. Listen to people like Donna.

The Facts
  • Harold Ford Jr. voted for the two toughest anti-illegal immigration bill ever to go through Congress.
As the The Commercial Appeal reported, "...he voted for the two toughest illegal immigration bills to reach the House floor in recent years: one that passed Thursday to build 700 miles of fence along the Mexican border, and a comprehensive bill last December authored by anti-illegal immigration conservatives. The Senate passed its own bill, and the two chambers have not agreed on a compromise."
  • Bob Corker hired illegal immigrants and was cited by the INS for doing so.

No amount of lying about Congressman Ford will ever change the fact that Bob Corker broke federal law to enrich himself.

Who do you trust to stop illegal immigration? The person who voted for the toughest measures ever to come through Congress to stop illegal immigration or the person who broke the law and hired illegal workers?

The choice is clear.
