Corker Campaign Visionless; Continues To Pump Out Lame Attacks

The Corker campaign and their henchmen are pathetic.

At a time when a record number of folks across our state and nation are struggling just to get by, all Bob Corker and his supporters can do is attack Harold Ford Jr.

For example, look at the new Bob Corker blog, Blogging for Corker. What do you see? Attacks. What else. Attacks. Yep, and? Attacks! You got it!

According to their own blog records, since they started last week, they have already made 21 attacks against Congressman Ford and two against me and other Ford bloggers. That is a total of 23 attacks, in a little less than a week. Compare that to the minute 8 posts that they have made about their candidate, Bob Corker.

That should tell you something about their campaign. They are desperate. Corker and his campaign are visionless, that is why they are resorting to these lame attacks against the Congressman.

They know Congressman Ford is right on energy, the war, balancing the budget, environmental issues, security, defense and every other major issue in this race. They also know that their candidate has problems; big ones. First and foremost, the guy has no character. He has lied time and time again on everything from his record as Mayor to his hiring of illegal workers. Corker simply cannot be trusted. Just ask his fellow Republicans Ed Bryant and Van Hilleary.

This race for the U.S. Senate should be about two things: the issues and the future. Harold Ford Jr. understands that and has conducted his campaign accordingly.

Folks are tired of Bob Corker's lies and attacks. They saw enough of those during the Republican primary.

They are ready for a change. That is why they are flocking to Congressman Ford and his campaign the way they are.

This fall, I urge you to support the candidate who has a real vision for Tennessee, not someone who has a durable record of character flaws and and attacks his opponent constantly.

The choice could not be clearer.

It is time for a new generation of leadership.
