This time we see it in the Letter to the Editor section of the Commercial Appeal:
"Two writers of Feb. 22 letters to the editor voiced their opinions about Rep. Harold Ford Jr.'s values and voting record. One said: "When Tennessee voters elect their next U.S. senator, they will look at which candidate can adhere to our state's conservative values, which Ford Jr. does not represent." Medicare, Social Security, education, jobs, veterans, homeland security and a balanced budget are neither conservative nor liberal values. They are the concerns of all Tennesseans. Ford voted for an alternative budget proposal that provided more funds to protect Social Security and Medicare. He voted to provide $14.2 billion in additional funds for education, homeland security, veterans and health care.
He voted for the Americans Jobs Creation Act, which enabled Tennesseans to deduct state sales taxes from federal income taxes. In nine years in Congress, he has never voted for a budget that was not balanced.
Harold Ford Jr. is a Democrat who understands what it means to be fiscally responsible. He has worked hard and served the citizens of Memphis honorably, and will work just as hard for all of Tennessee when he is elected to the U.S. Senate. He is a public servant who gets the job done.

Way to set the record straight Tim!
