HamDems: "Quit Making Up Stuff About Ford"

Bob Corker is begining to feel the heat for his blatant lies about Congressman Ford and his campaign.

The following excerpts come from a post on the HamDems blog:

"Over at the Chattanoogan today, Chattanoogan Bob Corker's Campaign wrongfully tried to tie Rep. Harold Ford with GOP Bag Boy Jack Abramoff. Jack Abramoff worked at one of the biggest law firms in the country, Greenberg Traurig, and some of the lawyers may have lobbied Harold Ford, but to say they are a bag man for Abramoff, and part of the Culture of Corruption is wrong.

We know Corker hired the *Swift Boat Veterans group to help him with his campaign, so I guess we can expect more lies and false statements from now until November. Interesting enough, Corker does not bring up the names who are implicated in the Abramoff scandal -his opponents in the primary - Bryant and Hillary."

Amen HamDems! I could not agree more. These constant attacks and lies against Congressman Ford and his campaign tell us one thing about Bob Corker and the other Republican candidates: they are all afraid of him.

Each of them know that he and his campaign are for real and have the momentum in this race.

Recent polls, analysis, predictions, and fundraising numbers each show that Harold Ford Jr. has not only put the 2006 Senate race here in Tennessee on the map, but is the front runner in the race and is well positioned to win in November.

Attack him all they like, but Congressman Ford still has the confidence of the voters of Tennessee and the vision to move our state forward in the future.

Those are two things none of the Republican candidates have.
