Congressman Ford's State of the Union Hopes

The following article appeared in the Memphis Commerical Appeal:

"Rep. Harold Ford Jr., D-Tenn., has several hopes for the President's annual agenda-setting speech, according to his spokesman, Mark Schuermann.

"Congressman Ford is anxious to hear the President talk about what we are going to do to lower natural gas and oil prices, help small business owners afford health care and what he plans to do to protect the pensions of everyday, working people from being raided by greedy and incompetent corporate managers," Schuermann said. "If the President doesn't address these issues, among other things, Congressman Ford believes he will miss agreat opportunity."
