Congressman Ford To Speak At 139th Convocation

"Each year in late September, Howard students rise early in the morning, put on their Sunday best, and make their way to Cramton Auditorium for Opening Convocation. On Friday, this tradition will be repeated as Congressman Harold E. Ford Jr. delivers the keynote address at the 139th Convocation Ceremony.

Congressman Ford represents the Ninth District of Tennessee and is now serving his fifth term in the House of Representatives. He was born on May 11, 1970 in Memphis, TN and is the eldest son of former U.S. Representative Harold E. Ford and Dorothy Ford. Congressman Ford received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1996."
