A man wanting to be the next United States Senator from Tennessee battles more than party platform. Harold Ford Junior wants the seat being vacated by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.
Ford is the nephew of former State Senator John Ford of Memphis who`s facing numerous charges following the Tennessee Waltz Bribery investigation. Congressman Ford made a campaign stop this morning in Surgoinsville and says he`s confidant voters will set him apart from his family.
The 35 year old Ford told voters today his views on an exit plan for the war in Iraq. He also discussed preserving social security for future generations.
