Harold Ford Jr: Time Traveler, At Least According To The Republicans

For the second in a week, the desperate Republicans have attacked Harold Ford Jr. for a vote that his father made while he was in Congress.

The first instance came earlier this week, when Charles Badger of the Van Wagon, tried to push the idea that Harold Ford Jr. voted against prayer in public schools in 1994. But as we all know, Harold Ford Jr. did not take office until 1997!

However, apparently some folks didn't get the memo that we caught on to their little dirty trick because we now have Lynn Seborn, at Vorticity, who is holding a 1996 immigration vote against Harold Ford Jr.

How dumb do they think people are?

We all know that HAROLD FORD JR. took office in 1997, so how could he have voted for a bill that came before Congress in 1996?

Some of us may have been born at night, but not last night!

For the second time this week, the Republicans have tried to confuse voters by using a vote cast by Harold Ford SR. against Harold Ford JR.

The Republicans need to grow up and stop this stooge like behavior.

Tennesseeans deserve better.

179 Days

Days of Congressional Inaction on Ethics

Above is the number of days that have passed since Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty to bribing Congressman.

It is also the number of days in which Congress has failed to pass an ethics reform bill that would limit private travel, ski and golf junkets, and would call for a full disclosure of expenses by lobbyists on members of Congress.

It is time for Congress to step up and pass an ethics reform bill that would do all of the above. In addition, it is time to end the pork barrel spending system as we know it and establish an independent ethics commission that would review ethics complaints against members of Congress.

I am proud Congressman Harold Ford Jr. is fighting for that reform!
