Welcome Daily Kos'ers!

Wow, today has been a great day!

This afternoon, I posted a diary on Daily Kos about how the NRSC came out and attacked me and our blog yesterday for simply setting the record straight and telling the truth.

I did not know what kind of response the diary would get, but I have been overwhelmed by the response!

There have been so many supportive comments from the bloggers on there and Kos himself even helped out by mentioning my diary on the midday open thread and placing the diary in the recommended diaries area!

Thanks goes out to all of you!

So many of you have offered your help and support, and I appreciate that very much!

To win this race, Congressman Ford and his campaign are going to need each and everyone of you guys to do all you can.

He is going to need your money. He is going to need your online activism. And he is going to need your prayers.

Your help will be crucial in this race because as we have already seen, the Republican are willing to say anything to help them get elected. I hope I am wrong, but I suspect that will only get worse as we approach November! That is why it is so dire that we have a united force that will be ready to take on their lies and attacks!

So once again, thank you to Kos and all of you Daily Kos'ers who have been so supportive today!

I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship!

Now, lets go and win this election for Congressman Harold Ford Jr.!

P.S. Remember to visit Harold Ford Jr.'s official website to contribute to the campaign or get involved in various other ways!

Update: Wow, our Site Meter is going off the hinges today thanks to Kos and Company! The Ford support alliance just keeps growing!

161 Days

Days of Congressional Inaction on Ethics

Above is the number of days that have passed since Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty to bribing Congressman.

It is also the number of days in which Congress has failed to pass an ethics reform bill that would limit private travel, ski and golf junkets, and would call for a full disclosure of expenses by lobbyists on members of Congress.

It is time for Congress to step up and pass an ethics reform bill that would do all of the above. In addition, it is time to end the pork barrel spending system as we know it and establish an independent ethics commission that would review ethics complaints against members of Congress.

I am proud Congressman Harold Ford Jr. is fighting for that reform!
