We all knew things were not looking good for the Republican in 2006, however, new polls show just how unhappy people are with the current course our nation is on and the people in charge.Clearly, people are fed up with the Republican Party and their destructive policies which have given us a broken Iraq, record deficits, a culture of corruption, high gas prices, and a non-existent immigration and port security policy.
People are looking for change and that is exactly what Harold Ford Jr. will bring to the United States Senate.
Ford is a moderate Democrat who in 10 years in Congress, has shown that he is willing to cross both partisan and racial lines to get things done on behalf of the people he represents. That is what we need right now. Too many people are struggling too much right now for any type of progress that could be made to be impeded by partisan wrangling and Ford understands that.We need a U.S. Senator that will fight for everyone, every single day of the year. I have no doubt whatsoever that Harold Ford Jr. is someone who will do just that. His faith and compassion propels him to do so.
It is time for a new generation of leadership!
