The following op-ed in support of Congressman Harold Ford Jr. appeared in the Commercial Appeal on Saturday, May 6th: Your Daybreak column on May 3 contained a hateful attack on Harold Ford Jr. from a Washington, D.C., writer in a New York publication.
Ford is a wonderful congressman for Memphis, and those of us who know him know that what New York magazine published is far from accurate.
Ford will make a great U.S. senator because he works hard, loves his state deeply and cares about what happens here.
Why don't you start sharing news about what we know about Ford -- that he wants to help us solve our problems of high gas prices, the budget deficit and the high cost of health care?
