That secret: he's an addict. An addict of what you might ask? Big Oil.
As Go4Truth pointed out earlier this month, both Ed Bryant and Van Hilleary have been controlled by Big Oil ever since their days in Congress.
However, Bob Corker may just be the King of Big Oil.
To date in this election, Corker has received huge amounts of money from "Gas Station King" Jimmy Haslam, who is the CEO of Pilot Oil, as well as a handful of Haslam's cronies who also work for Pilot.
According to The Center for Responsive Politics, Pilot Oil cronies have given $33,000 to Bob
Corker's current U.S. Senate campaign. That is more money than any other Tennessee company has contributed to any other Senate candidate.
It makes you wonder what did Bob Corker promise Pilot Oil in return for this huge amount of money?
Not only has Haslam and Pilot Oil directly given money to Corker, they have went out of their way to show their support publicly, even holding a $1,000 per person fundraiser for Corker.
"With this year's elections over just less than three weeks ago, fund raising for a U.S. Senate race in Tennessee in 2006 has begun. Businessman Jim Haslam II hosted a breakfast and luncheon for Republican Bob Corker on Tuesday at Club LeConte for about 60 potential contributors.
Attendees were encouraged to help get people to a$1,000-per-person fund-raiser for the Chattanooga mayor on Dec. 7 at the home of Haslam's son, Jimmy. "He'd be an excellent candidate," Jim Haslam said Thursday. Corker held the finance commissioner's post during the first administration of Gov. Don Sundquist." -- Knoxville News-Sentinel, Nov. 13, 2004
It really is a shame that Bob Corker has personally chose to align himself with Big Oil in this race. Each year Pilot Oil has $4 billion in revenues and is currently charging as much as $3.59 for a gallon of gas at some of its gas stations.
Each time a Tennessean fills up their tank at a Pilot station, they pay $50.
People all across Tennessee and this nation are outraged about this situation. But not Bob Corker. He knows not to bite the hand that feeds.
If you are fed up every time you fill and are tired of politicians like Bob Corker who side with Big Oil instead of the everyday person, send a new generation to the U.S. Senate this year.
Clearly, Bob (Fraud) Corker is not the man for the job.

141 Days
Days of Congressional Inaction on Ethics
Above is the number of days that have passed since Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty to bribing Congressman.
It is also the number of days in which Congress has failed to pass an ethics reform bill that would limit private travel, ski and golf junkets, and would call for a full disclosure of expenses by lobbyists on members of Congress.
It is time for Congress to step up and pass an ethics reform bill that would do all of the above. In addition, it is time to end the pork barrel spending system as we know it and establish an independent ethics commission that would review ethics complaints against members of Congress.
I am proud Congressman Harold Ford Jr. is fighting for that reform!
