Blogger: We Need Harold Ford Jr. Representing Us In Washington

As I have been saying on this blog for sometime now, Harold Ford Jr. is talking about issues that everyday Tennesseans care about while his opponents do nothing except issue attacks and fuss over meaningless things.

It looks as though I am not the only one who has noticed that.

The author of the Too Fat for Ponies blog has an interesting take:

Has anyone seen the new Bob Corker for Senate ads? Bob is sitting next to his mother (see... it was launched on Mother's Day weekend) with this "gosh, shucks... stop bragging on me momma" expression on his face. George W. Bush did a better job of pulling off this routine. Corker comes across as a poor actor. The man needs to take a performance class. He also needs to quit hiding the fact that he is a Republican candidate.

On the other end of the spectrum is Harold Ford, Jr. His ad goes straight to what people need to hear. Higher gas prices are effecting everyone and someone needs to represent us who isn't afraid of the oil companies. Ford is direct and doesn't come across as trying to manipulate the old heart strings. We need someone like Ford representing us in Washington. He has some obstacles to overcome but I have more faith in Harold Ford Jr. than Republican Bob Corker who wastes our time not addressing issues.

Wake up Tennessee! We desperately need someone who will respect their constituents by addressing real life!

Amen, brother! I could not agree more!

It is time to have a Senator that represents the people's interests, not the special interests!

It is time for a new generation of leadership!
