Ford Stands Tall On Security While Corker Gets Shorter By The Day

It looks as though Pro-Abortion, Pro-Tax Increase, and Pro-Illegal Immigration Bob Corker is getting softer and softer on security by the day.

Yesterday's Jackson Sun newspaper reported, "Corker said he is concerned about the situation, but he is more concerned about having a thorough review of port security, beyond just the issue of having the facilities managed by Dubai Ports World."

Excuse me, but where is the outrage from Corker over the outsourcing of our nation's security?

All he can do is say he supports a review?

What good exactly is a review going to do? The facts of the case are already known here.

The President made a deal with a nation (the UAE) that has ties to terrorism, that would give them control of our ports, which are already highly vulnerable due to the fact that only 5% of all containers coming into America are inspected.

Those are the facts.

It is clear to Congressman Ford and a majority of Americans that this deal is a real threat to our security and must be ended now, not extended by review.

You are either for protecting our nation or you are not.

American ports need to be ran by Americans, plain and simple.

It has nothing to do with racism or being discriminatory.

Nor is it a Democrat or Republican issue.

It is a matter of keeping our homeland safe.

We were attacked only four and a half short years ago. It seems Bob Corker and the others who are going soft on the outsourcing of our security have forgotten that.

I am proud that Harold Ford Jr. has remained steadfast in his fight to keep our nation secure. His efforts warrant him worthy of being our next U.S. Senator.

I can rest assure he will stop at nothing to keep the people of our nation safe.

63 Days

Days of Congressional Inaction on Ethics

Above is the number of days that have passed since Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty to bribing Congressman.

It is also the number of days in which Congress has failed to pass an ethics reform bill that would limit private travel, ski and golf junkets, and would call for a full disclosure of expenses by lobbyists on members of Congress.

It is time for Congress to step up and pass an ethics reform bill that would do all of the above. In addition, it is time to end the pork barrel spending system as we know it and establish an independent ethics commission that would review ethics complaints against members of Congress.

I am proud Congressman Harold Ford Jr. is fighting for that reform!
