Rep. Harold Ford Jr. spoke to the student body of Harding Academy on Cherry Road.The seventh- through 12th-graders listened and then asked questions about the war in Iraq, the environment and other current topics.
The congressman applauded their enthusiasm and attention to what was taking place in the world.
Delayed because he was on the Don Imus radio program, Ford stayed until he answered every question and received quite an ovation from the students, staff and faculty.
