Flashback: Ford Keynotes 2000 Convention

In 2000, Congressman Harold Ford Jr. was selected by then Vice President Al Gore to deliver the keynote speech at the Democratic convention. It was then when Congressman Ford gained national prominence and won over the hearts and minds of millions. His speech laid out what America should be and can be as we move into the twenty-first century.

He still has that same vision till this day. Harold Ford Jr. wants an America that works for everyone, not just the well connected. He wants a debt free economy so everyone can enjoy the American dream. He sees an America in which every American receives the medication they need and doesn't have to choose between filling a prescription and buying food. Congressman Ford also sees an America in which we once again lead the world in ingenuity and brain power. He knows that the key to the future lies in quality education for everyone. It is time we put someone in office that can make these visions a reality!

It is clear, Tennessee need Harold Ford Jr! Please join us in this effort to help make him the next U.S. Senator from the great state of Tennessee! With your help--a 2006 victory is in hand!
